• In learning languages and the cultures they reflect, a dialogue between people has begun - the first step to understanding and friendship.

• The history and culture of the Palestinian people, particularly in Gaza, is rich and unique and an increased awareness and pride in this heritage will teach the people of Gaza to look to themselves with a greater self-esteem
  and build a better understanding of their neighbors. 
  Through learning and talking together, barriers are broken,
  prejudices and stereotypes re-examined and contacts established
  between the inhabitants of Gaza and the outside world.
   

Keeping place with the rapidly developing Gaza Strip, it's emerging autonomy and steps towards understanding, the New Abraham Center is looking to develop its activities . Firstly with the opening of an Information Technology (Computer) Center, a complement to the language training currently offered which will meet a dire need for this sort of training to build the new Palestinian economy and the international relationships upon which it depends.

Secondly, we hope over the next three years to establish the first Palestinian Folk High School,building on the Scandinavian educational philosophy of this movement, adapted to the unique culture and particular needs of Gaza.
